AFCAT Eligibility 2021: Physical and Medical Requirements
It is recommended that candidates be physically fit when reporting for the SSB in order to pass the AFSB exams.
- Candidates must aim to achieve an ability to run 01 miles (1.6 km) in 10 mins, do 10 pushups, and 03 chin-ups.
- Candidates are also advised to keep themselves in good physical condition to adapt to tough physical training at AFA which includes swimming, rope climbing, running, and other forms of physical training in which

AFCAT Eligibility 2021: Marital Status
- Candidates applying below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of course.
- Candidates who marry to the date of his application though successful at SSB or medical will not be eligible to pursue further for training.
- Those who marry during the period of training will be debarred from the board and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the government.
- Married candidates age 25 years or above are eligible to apply but during their training period or at the time of commencement, of course, they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with the family.
AFCAT Eligibility 2021: Nationality
Candidates applying for AFCAT positions with the Indian Air Force must be Indian citizens. Foreign nationals are ineligible to apply for Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical) Posts.
