Know AFCAT Training Stipend

After clearing all the stages of the AFCAT, the candidates, then get selected for the training session at the Indian Air Force Academy for a period of time. During this time period, the candidates get paid a fixed amount of money monthly, as a stipend.

When the training period is successfully completed, the AFCAT candidates’ salary will be in the pay matrix of Level 10. The stipend amount for all the trainees will be Rs. 56,100 per month.

AFCAT Salary 2021 – Career growth and promotion

For the first three ranks, AFCAT candidates will get promoted on a timeline basis. But for the other posts, promotions are based on the job as well as the vacancies for a particular post.

• After serving as the Flying officer for 3 years, the person will get promoted to the post of Flying Lieutenant. In order to get promoted, they have to qualify for a departmental exam.
• After completing 6 years of service, the person will get promoted to the post of Squadron Leader.
• Technical officers who are engineers will get promoted by being provided the seniority of 2-years, as well as the pay, will be compared to the Indian Air Force officers.
