  • Part B includes subject-related conventional MCQs with less difficulty level.
  • Part C includes higher value subject related questions that will test you’ scientific knowledge.

CSIR NET Earth Science exam pattern Important Points

  • You need to answer maximum of 15, 35, and 25 questions out of 20, 50, and 80 questions in Part-A, Part-B and Part-C respectively.
  • Every question contains 4 alternatives and you need to mark the best alternative as their answer.
  • Questions in Part-A and Part-B carry 2 marks each and negative marking of 0.5 for the wrong answer.
  • Part-C contains questions of 4 marks each and 1.32 marks deducted for an incorrect answer.

CSIR NET Earth Science Marking scheme: Each question in Part A and B carries two marks weightage. However, each question in Part C carries four marks weightage. There is negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer in Part A and B. In Part C, there is negative marking of 1.32 marks for each incorrect answer.
