CSIR NET Educational Qualifications 2023
- The candidates must hold a degree of M.Sc. or equivalent degree / BS-4 years / BE/ Integrated BS-MS / B. Pharma / MBBS / B. Tech with at least 55% marks.
- The SC/ST and persons with disability candidates must have at least 50% marks in M.Sc. or equivalent degree / B. Pharma / BS-4 years / BE / Integrated BS-MS / MBBS / B. Tech.
- The candidates that are enrolled for M.Sc or have completed their graduation can also apply for CSIR UGC NET 2023 under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they will complete the qualifying degree with a needed percentage of marks within two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of the award.
- The candidates that hold B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree or are enrolled in Integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD as per the CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria.
- The candidates that hold a bachelor’s degree will be eligible for the fellowship only after getting registered /enrolled for Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of 2 years.

- A candidate applying for JRF but fulfilling the laid down eligibility criteria for Lectureship will be considered for both JRF & LS.
- If a candidate is found to be over-aged for JRF (NET), he/she will only be considered for Lectureship (NET).
- Option/preference given by the candidate in his/her application form is final and request for change will not be entertained at any later stage.
- The number of candidates qualifying for the exam depends on the number of fellowships available and performance in the test, subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criteria.
- Candidates with M.Sc qualification or under M.Sc Result Awaited (RA) category shall be eligible for Lectureship (LS) subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria as laid down by the UGC.
