Candidates appearing for the entrance exam should note that CTET comprises of two papers- Paper I (Primary Stage) and Paper II (Elementary Stage). Language Code For CTET Exam 2023

CTET Exam Pattern 2023 For Paper 1 and Paper 2

All the questions raised in the CTET Exam Paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with four alternatives. Every question holds one mark for each correct answer. Also, there will be no negative marking for the incorrect response.

A cumulative time span of 2.5 hours is allotted for Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are two papers created for CTET 2023:

  1. Primary Level: Paper 1 is for the aspirants who want to be a professor for Grades 1 to 5.
  2. Elementary Level: Paper 2 is for the aspirants who want to be a professor for Grades 6 to 8.

Note: The applicant who aspires to become a professor for both levels should register for both papers that are Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Use of OMR Sheet in CTET 2023

Handling the OMR sheet initially must be done under some supervision to avoid mistakes while providing the basic details of the applicants. Hence, here are the easy guidelines an applicant must follow in order to be user-friendly with the Optical Mark Recognition in CTET 2023.

  • The candidates of CTET would find an OMR sheet within the sealed test booklet. The sealed booklet must be opened only when the invigilator announces to do so. 

  • There will be 4 options in the OMR answer script which are A, B, C, and D. In the answer booklet the same options will be provided for the candidates to choose. 

  • The OMR sheet will be scanned through an optical scanner, hence there must not be any crease on the answer script. Any such tinge or crease might give wrong result when the OMR sheet is sent for Optical Scanning.

  • Applicants must not write the roll number anywhere in the sheet except the specified space in the OMR sheet. 

OMR Sheet Side 1 

Candidates will have to use blue or black ballpoint pens to mark in the OMR sheet. Usage of the pencil is strictly prohibited. Candidates will have to mark the following details on sheet side 1:

  • Name of the Candidate 

  • Father’s Name

  • Roll Number 

  • Center Number

  • Name of that particular examination centre

  • Subjects offered
