GATE Registration 2022 | Correction Window Opens from Today

GATE Application Form 2022: The registration portal for GATE 2022 will close on October 7. Candidates who desire to register for the exam must now pay a late fee. The late fee for GATE 2022 is ₹1250 for female, SC, ST, PwD category candidates and ₹2000 for others. This is the fee per subject paper; for two papers the amount of fee is twice that for a single paper.

On September 2, the IIT Kharagpur released the GATE 2022 application form in an online mode. Candidates must first register with the GATE Online Application Processing System in order to have access to the GATE 2022 registration link (GOAPS). The GATE 2022 Exam will be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13.

GATE Application Form 2022 Important Dates

The GATE 2022 Application Form was available on the official website of IIT Kharagpur from 02nd September 2021 onwards. The last date to fill GATE Application Form 2022 was revised to 30th September 2021.

This year, based on the relaxations provided in GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria, BDS & M.Pharma degree holders can apply for the exam. Other than that, candidates currently in the 3^rd year of degree programs can also fill GATE 2022 Application Forms.

Documents Required To Fill GATE Application Form 2022

While filling out the GATE 2022 Application Form, the following documents/information are necessary.

• Personal information like candidate’s name, date of birth, mobile number, parents’ name, parents’ mobile number, etc.

• Communication address (including PIN code)

• Eligibility degree details

• College name and address (with PIN code)

• GATE paper (subject)

• Choice of GATE examination cities

• Scanned image of candidate’s photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and size

• Scanned copy of the eligibility certificate in pdf format (Degree or Provisional certificate or certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute (in the format specified)

• Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST), PwD or Dyslexic certificate (if applicable) in pdf format

• Declaration for candidates of Jammu and Kashmir (candidates who are unable to obtain documents

• due to restrictions in the region).

• Details of the valid identity document(the same ID, in original, should be carried to the examination hall)

• Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for fee payment

Note: Please keep in mind that the candidate’s name on the application form must exactly match the name on the qualifying degree certificate or the certificate provided by the Head of the Department/Institute where the candidate is pursuing his or her studies. The name on the GATE application form will be used to generate the scorecard.

How to fill GATE 2022 Application Form?

GATE 2022 Registration- Step-wise Process

Follow these steps to fill out and submit the GATE application form 2022:

Step 1 – GATE Registration: Register now for the GATE online application processing system, which will be available in 2022. (GOAPS). To register for GATE exam 2022, fill out the form below.

• Candidate’s first, middle name and surname
• Valid email ID
• Country of residence
• Mobile number
• Password for future login

After entering all of the above information, click the ‘submit’ option. A One Time Password (OTP) issued by the system will be emailed to the registered email address and mobile number. To complete the GATE registration 2022, use the OTP.

Following that, each candidate who has successfully registered will be assigned a unique enrollment ID.

Note: Candidates can proceed to payment with verification of any email ID or mobile number if the OTP is not received in a timely manner. The last one will have to be validated at a later time.

Step 2 – Login and fill GATE 2022 application form: Once you’ve completed your GATE registration, fill out the application form with the following information:

• Personal Details: Information like the name of candidate, father’s & mother name, date of birth, nativity etc need to be entered.

• Academic Detail: Information related to academic qualifications from HSC till graduation need to be entered.

• Communication Details: Address as well as the permanent address need to fill.

• GATE Paper: Select the GATE paper appearing for. Note: Change of GATE exam paper is not allowed after submission of the form.

• GATE Exam Centre: Select total of three exams cities from the given list. The first two centres must be from the same zone while the third can be from any GATE 2022 regional zone.

• Photo Identity Proof: The photo ID number and type of ID have to be entered

Step 3 – Scanned images of your photo, signature, and other documents can be uploaded.

Step 4 – Preview of GATE 2022 application form before submission: Before submitting, check and double-check all of the information you’ve entered.

Step 5 – Pay GATE 2022 application fees: The registration fee for the GATE exam can be paid online using Net-banking, a debit card, or a credit card. The application fee varies depending on the candidate’s category. The following is the application fee that candidates must pay:

Step 6 – Submit the application form: Submit the GATE 2022 application form after successfully paying the fee. Only those candidates who successfully register will be able to access the GATE 2022 admission card.

How to Check GATE 2022 Application Status?

• Candidates must use their login credentials to access the GATE 2022 registration link and check their application status. Candidates need not be concerned if their GATE application status is ‘Under Scrutiny/Under Process.’
• All GATE application forms 2022 will be examined by the appropriate authorities, and those candidates whose applications need to be corrected in terms of photograph, signature, or supporting document will receive an automatic email/SMS.
• The evaluation procedure will last a few days after the application form has been submitted.

Recovery of Enrolment Number and Password

Have you forgotten the GATE 2022 Enrolment ID or Registration ID? Follow the given steps:

• Visit the GOAPS website.
• Select ‘Forgot GATE 2022 Enrolment ID or Registration ID’ from the drop-down menu.
• Click on ‘Request for an OTP’ to receive One Time Password if you remember your Email Address but not your Enrolment ID or Registration ID.
• To reset your password, click “Already have an OTP?” if you already have one.

What after GATE Application Form 2022?
