Educational Criteria | Important Points
You must provide evidence that his or her educational qualification is considered equal to a degree (graduation) by the Indian government. IBPS SO Eligibility 2021 | EWS Category
Candidates who do not fall under the SC, ST, or OBC categories and have a total annual income of less than Rs. 8 lakhs are classified as EWS, or Economically Weaker Section, candidates. For the openings announced by IBPS, those applicants are eligible for a 10% reservation.
Eligibility Important Points for EWS Category
All streams of income including wages, industry, agriculture, and occupation, will be covered in revenue. This benefit will come from the financial year before the application year.
However, regardless of his/her annual family income, any individual or his/her family who owns any of the following properties will be exempted from the EWS list.
- 5 acres of Agricultural Land and above.
- Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above.
- Residential plots of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities.
- Residential plots of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities.
- Property purchased in separate places by a single “Family” is grouped together when filing for the property holding exam to assess EWS status. The word “family” would refer to the individual receiving reservation benefits, his parents, siblings under the age of 18, partner, and children under the age of 18.
Candidates who wish to be eligible for the EWS reservation in the SO Hiring Process must present an Income and Asset Certificate granted by a Competent Authority in the required format at the time of record verification and the interview round.
IBPS SO Eligibility | PwD Category
Persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation under section 34 of the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,” according to Indian government regulations.
The below are the types of disabilities that are qualified for reservation under the Act:
- Deaf and hard of hearing
- Blindness and low vision
- intellectual disability, autism, mental illness, and specific learning disability
- locomotor disability including leprosy cured, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, muscular dystrophy, and acid attack victims
- People with benchmark disabilities will be assigned to reserved positions as outlined in the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” and as indicated by Participating banks to IBPS.
PwD Directives
Applicants whose writing speed is permanently impaired or who have a minimum benchmark deficiency for any cause are permitted to use their scribe during the IBPS PO Exam 2021, but must adhere to the following rules:
- Applicants who want to utilize scribe services or who are qualifying for scribe services in the test must register for scribe services while filling out the IBPS SO 2021 Form.
- The applicants will have to pay for a scribe on their period and at their own expense.
- Both the applicant and the scribe must sign an agreement stating that all of the scribe’s eligibility requirements have been met. Also, regardless of the CRP outcome, if it is discovered at some point of the test that the scribe did not meet any of the eligibility requirements or suppressed material evidence, the applicant’s candidature would be canceled.
- The applicant’s scribe may come from any educational background, but he or she must not be a candidate for the online test.
- The student’s scribe is entitled to 20 minutes of compensatory time or is otherwise prescribed for the whole hour of the test. Since compensatory time will be granted to applicants by a system-based process, only those who apply for it will be eligible.
Cerebral Palsy and Locomotor Disability Directives
Applicants with a minimum of 40% Cerebral Palsy and Locomotor Disability whose dominant extremity, such as writing, is impaired to the point that function could be slowed may be given a compensatory period of 20 minutes per hour unless otherwise notified.
Intellectual Disability Directives
Applicants who are more than 40% Intellectually Disabled, mentally impaired, Autistic, or have a Specific Learning Disability would be given a compensatory period of 20 minutes every hour of the test, regardless of whether or not they use the Scribe facilities.
Visually Impaired candidates Directives
Applicants who are visually impaired who have a 40% or greater impairment may choose to display the contents of the query paper in magnified font and will be liable for a compensatory period of 20 minutes per hour unless otherwise instructed. Only visually disabled applicants who are not using the assistance of a scribe will be allowed to use the magnifying font to display the contents of the exam.
