IIFT Eligibility:  NTA, the exam’s organizing body, defines the IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2022. Foreign nationals and Indian candidates must meet separate eligibility requirements. Before completing IIFT Registration for admission to MBA IB courses offered at IIFT Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada, candidates should review the IIFT eligibility criteria 2022. For the MBA (IB) 2021-23 batch, the IIFT Delhi admission process and criterion have changed.

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021-22 | IIFT Admission Criteria

Before registering for the IIFT 2022 exam, candidates should carefully read the IIFT Exam eligibility guidelines. If any of the conditions are not met, the candidates will be barred from participating in the next round of admissions.

Basic Educational Qualification 

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Duration of Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Marks in Graduation

  • General/ OBC/ EWS candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks 
  • ST/ SC/ PwD candidates should have secured 45% marks.

Final Year Candidates

Final year students can also apply subject to the submission of requisite qualifications by the requisite date. Candidates who fail to qualify will have their admission canceled.

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021-22 for Non-Resident Indians (NRI) / Foreign Nationals

  • If an international student (i.e. a student with citizenship other than that of India) wishes to apply for IIFT 2022, he must meet the following IIFT eligibility criteria:
  • Candidates who have lived outside India for at least 18 months and will be outside India during the IIFT 2022 entrance exam process.
  • Indian nationals living, working, or studying abroad must produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate of the current country stating that the candidate has been a resident in that country continuously for at least 18 months as of the prescribed date.
  • Foreign nationals must have a valid passport or travel document issued by a country other than India.
  • GMAT scores and interviews will be used to determine admission. GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) scores from more than two years ago are no longer valid.
  • However, if foreign nationals are present in India at the time of the IIFT entrance exam, they must take it.
  • Candidates who have taken any other MBA entrance examination in India that year, such as CAT/XAT/IIFT, are ineligible to apply.
  • The application fee for international candidates is USD 200/-, and the tuition fee for the entire program is USD 60000/-.

Undertaking

An undertaking that the candidate has not appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year such as CAT/ XAT/ IIFT, etc.

Preferably, one by a current supervisor or manager and another by someone who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s professional performance, managerial, and leadership potential. 

Certificate of Residence

Indian nationals need to submit a certificate issued by the Indian Embassy of the present country stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on the prescribed date

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2021: Scholarship Criteria

IIFT provides need-based scholarships in which the interest on their education loan is subsidized for 27 months from the time the loan is obtained from the bank.

  • This scholarship scheme is open to any student who has taken out a loan and whose family income is less than INR 4,50,000 per year.
  • Every year, the amount of the education loan is revised based on the tuition fee and other expenses.
  • Candidates can learn more about all of the scholarship programmes offered by the Government of India by visiting the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in.
  • If a student fails any exam during any year of the MBA IB programme, his scholarship will be automatically revoked.

If the candidate’s university is delaying the mark sheets, the candidate must contact the university for a provisional mark sheet and forward it to IIFT. The IIFT reserves the right to reject any certificate deemed unsuitable or inapplicable.

Is IIFT 2022 open to second-year students?

No, As per the IIFT Eligibility Criteria, second-year students are not eligible for the IIFT 2022 competition. Only final-year students are eligible to apply, and all required qualifications must be submitted by October 7, 2022.
