IIT JAM Result 2023: The IIT JAM Result 2023 has been released by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore on March 20, 2023, on its Official Website. You can check your JAM Result by visiting the JOAPS portal and entering your enrollment ID/email ID and password in the result window. How To Download The IIT JAM Result 2023?
Here are the steps to download the IIT JAM Result card 2023.
Step 1 – Visit the IIT JAM Official Website, i.e., jam.iisc.ac.in. Then you will be redirected to the JOAPS portal.
Step 2 – On your screen, a new JAM 2023 login page will appear.
Step 3 – Enter your credentials, i.e., enrollment ID/email ID and password.
Step 4 – Click on the submit button and your IIT JAM Scorecard 2023 will appear on your screen.
Step 5 – Your IIT JAM 2023 result will be in the form of an IIT JAM merit list PDF.
Step 6 – Download the IIT JAM Result card PDF and take multiple printouts.
How Is the IIT JAM Merit List 2023 Prepared?
The Merit list of IIT JAM 2023 is prepared differently for different subjects. Candidates, whose names appear on the merit list would only be eligible for applying to admissions into the desired courses/participating institutes. Here is how the IIT JAM Merit List 2023 is prepared.
- Each correct answer with a weightage of 1 mark, will be rewarded 1 mark.
- The questions carrying 2 marks, will be rewarded 2 marks for the correct attempt.
- No marks will be rewarded for unattempted answers.
- For every wrong attempt, 1/3rd of marks will be deducted for 1 marks questions.
- For every wrong attempt, 2/3rd of marks will be deducted for 2 marks questions.
How Are IIT JAM All India Ranks Prepared?
Candidates are allotted All India Ranks on the basis of their performance in the national level examination.
Tie-Breaking Policy Of IIT JAM Result 2023
If two or more candidates have scored the same scores or have the same ranks, a tie-breaking policy will be applied for that. After that, the candidates will be allotted different ranks. Here is the IIT JAM tie-breaking formula.
- The candidate with the highest ratio of positive marks will be given a higher rank.
- Even if the tie isn’t broken, then the candidates are given the same ranks.
