Navodaya Vidyalaya is a group of boarding schools that provide good quality education at nominal fees. These schools are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi an autonomous organization under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
They are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Every year, JawaharvNavodaya Vidyalaya offers admission to students of class 6th and 9th. An entrance exam is conducted to select the students for admission.

JNVST Eligibility [Class 6 and Class 9]
To get admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya, students need to satisfy the Navodaya Vidyalaya eligibility criteria 2021. The following is the minimum age limit and education qualification under the eligibility criteria for Sainik School 2021 admission –
Age Limit Criteria for Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam for session 2021-22
- Class 6 – The age of the candidate should be between 9-13 years.
- Class 9 – The age of the candidate should be between 13-16 years.
Educational Qualification for Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam for session 2021-22
- For 6th Class: Minimum Required Qualification is 05th Class from an authorized school/board.
- For 9th Class: Applicants should have passed the 08th Standard from an authorized school/board.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam Application Process

The submission of the application form is completely online. Students have to complete the following steps –
- Open the official website of JNVS – navodaya.gov.in
- Click on the JNV Selection Test 2021 notification available online
- Read the JNVST 2021 brochure then click on Register
- Fill the online form and upload the certificate with the photograph along with signatures of both the candidates and as his/her guardian. Submit the application form and take out a printout for future reference.
JNVST Selection Process 2021
Students can apply for Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission online from navodaya.gov.in. The selection process for Navodaya Vidyalaya is simple. Students will be enrolled on the basis of their performance in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2021 which will be held on 10 April 2020.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam Class 6 Syllabus
- Mental ability Test: In this test, the questions are based on figures and diagrams only. The section is divided into ten paras having 4 questions each.
- Arithmetic Test: The main purpose of this test is to measure a candidate’s basic understanding of Arithmetic. All the Twenty questions of this test will be based on the following 15 topics –
- The number and numeric system.
- Four fundamental operations on the whole number.
- The fractional number and four fundamental operations on them.
- Factors and multiple including their properties.
- LCM and HCF of numbers.
- Decimals and fundamental operations on them.
