The story is an extract taken from the novel written by Arundhati Roy. The narration begins in 1969 where Estha, Rahel, Ammu, Chakko and Baby Kochamma drive in the family’s blue Plymouth to Cochin. They are driving to see the ‘The Sound of Music’. However, this is their third time to be precise.
