Children Education Allowance
Just the two eldest surviving children will receive INR 2250/- every month. From Nursery to 12th Grade, this allocation is available.
Hostel Subsidy
An amount of INR 6,750/- per month per child for the two eldest surviving children only. This allowance is admissible from Nursery to 12th Class.
Free Rations
The free ration allowance will be applied in two phases, as follows:
- Continue in Field Area to all Defence Officers.
- Defense officers posted in the peace area.
NDA Allowance | Important Points
- Higher TPTA Cities (UA) are Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Delhi, Kanpur, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Surat, Kochi, Bengaluru, Kozhikode, Indore, Nagpur, Pune, Greater Mumbai, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Ghaziabad, Chennai.
- The TPTA allowance is available to NDA service members who have access to government transportation.
- Officers of NDA in Pay Level 14 and above, who are entitled to use an official car, have the option to avail official car facility or to draw the TPTA of Rs 15,750/ +Dearness Allowance thereon.
- The allowance is admissible for the calendar months wholly covered by leave.
- The physically disabled service personnel will continue to be paid at a double rate, subject to a minimum of Rs 2,250/ + Dearness Allowances.
NDA Retirement benefits
Pension, gratuity, and casualty pensionary awards will be given in accordance with the rules in force from time to time.

Leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time.
NDA Salary | Perks In Case of Mishappenings
Only certain forms of mishaps will be covered by the services mentioned below:
In case of disability:
- Monthly Ex-gratia amount of Rs 9,000 per month.
- Ex-gratia disability award of Rs 16,200 per month
- Constant Attendant Allowance (CCA of Rs 6, 750 per month for 100% disabled on the recommendation of Invaliding Medical Board (IBM).
In case of death:
- Ex-gratia amount of Rs 12.5 lakhs to the NOK.
- The Ex-gratia amount of Rs 9,000 per month to the NOK.
- The Ex-gratia awards to Cadets (Direct)/NOK, will be sanctioned purely on ex-gratia basis and the same should not be treated as pension for any purpose.
NDA Salary | Insurance Policies
- Gentlemen Cadets at IMA are given insurance coverage of Rs 75 lakh with a monthly payment of Rs 5,000 at the time of stipend (with effect from October 1, 2016, as per the maint AGI scheme as the application to regular officers).
- Army Community Insurance Fund is a mandatory contributory group scheme that offers insurance coverage of 15 lakh rupees with a one-time non-refundable premium of Rs 6,400 for three years. This must be paid from the time of joining the NDA before the training is finished.
- In the case of relegation, an extra premium of Rs 1,160 per relegated term will be paid immediately upon occurrence.
- Those who are invalided out of the NDA by the IMB due to disabilities and are not eligible for a pension will receive Rs 7.5 lakhs for 100 percent disability. For a 20% disability, the sum would be lowered to Rs 1.5 lakhs.
- All that is invalidated from IMA by IMB due to disabilities and are not eligible for a pension will be credited with Rs 25 lakhs for 100 percent disability. For a 20% disability, the sum would be lowered to Rs 5 lakhs.
- Only an Ex-Gratia sum of Rs 50,000 for the first year of training and Rs 1 lakh for the last year of training will be paid for less than 20% disability (points 4 and 5).
