Exam Pattern for RRB ALP CBT Stage I

Reasoning, Mathematics, General Science, and Current Affairs make up the first part of the computer-based test. There are 75 questions in all, and you have 60 minutes to complete them.

CBT for the second stage

The CBT for the second stage is divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Math, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness are the four topics of Part A. Part B comprises of trade-related questions.

  • Part A will consist of 100 questions to be answered in 90 minutes.
  • Part B will consist of 75 questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
  • Part A will determine the candidates’ advancement in the next step of the selection process, while Part B will serve as a qualification.

  • Negative marking will be used in the first two phases of CBT.
  • For each incorrect response, a third of the total marks will be removed.
  • If a candidate passes both the CBT I and CBT II phases, he will be summoned for the Computer Based Aptitude Test and, if necessary, Document Verification.
  • There will be no negative marking in the third stage.
  • There will be questions in both English and Hindi in the third stage test.

Computer Based Aptitude Test for RRB ALP

Only applicants for Assistant Loco Pilot will take the Computer Based Aptitude Test.

  • At this point, there will be no negative marking.
  • To qualify, each ‘test of batteries’ must receive at least 42 points.
  • For this step of the selection process, there are no exceptions.

Verification of RRB ALP Documents

Candidates that pass all rounds of the screening process are qualified for Document Verification. Candidates must be prepared with all original papers in their possession.
