RRB NTPC Selection Process 2021- CBT-I, CBT-II, Skill Test, DV & Medical Test

 

RRB NTPC Selection Process 2021: The railways will hold the RRB NTPC Exam for the positions of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. There will be five stages to the recruitment process. The stages are as follows:

• Stage-I CBT
• Stage-II CBT
• Skill Test
• Document Verification
• Medical examination

Stages of RRB NTPC Selection Process 2021

Candidates will go through various rounds of the selection process depending on the position they applied for.

Stage I of the RRB NTPC Selection Process: CBT 1

• A total of 100 marks are available in Stage I of the CBT.
• The candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
• PWD candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the exam.
• The first stage is the screening process.
• Each question receives a single mark.
• There’s a 1/3 negative marking.
• It will be necessary to normalize the marks.
• All candidates will take the same test.

Stage II of the RRB NTPC Selection Process: CBT 2

• Each of the 7th CPC Levels, i.e., Levels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, will have a separate Stage-II CBT with a graded difficulty level.
• There are 120 marks in the Stage-II CBT, for a total of 120 marks.
• The test will take 90 minutes to complete.
• General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning are the three sections of the CBT-II
• For PWD candidates, the exam lasts 120 minutes.

RRB NTPC Selection Process: Skill Test

• Every position requires a particular skill test.
• Computer-Based Aptitude Assessments and Typing Skill Tests are two forms of skill tests.

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

• Computer-Based Aptitude Test for RRB NTPC (CBAT) conducted for Station Master and Traffic Assistant take a computer-based aptitude test, while Junior Clerk cumtypist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cumtypist, Senior Clerk cumtypist, Junior Account Assistant cumtypist, and Senior Time Keeper.
• Based on the second stage CBT merit, shortlisting for Skill Tests such as the Computer-based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done eight times the number of vacancies.
• To qualify, candidates must get a minimum T-Score of 42 on each of the test batteries.
• This is applicable for all candidates, regardless of community or category, and no exceptions to the minimum T-Score are permitted.
• On the CBAT, only English and Hindi will be offered for questions and answers.
• There will be no negative marking in CBAT.
• Only those who pass the CBAT will be placed on a merit list.  The marks gained in the 2nd Stage CBT account for 70% of the weightage, and the marks earned in the CBAT accounting 30%.

RRB NTPC Typing Skill Test (TST)

• Qualifying in nature
• The typing exam will be called for eight times the number of vacancies.
• Candidates must type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English and 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi on a personal computer with no editing tools or spell check.

Document Verification in the RRB NTPC Selection Process

Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are summoned for Document Verification as per their merit after passing the second stage CBT and based on their performance in the Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test (where applicable). The railway will select individuals if they pass the required Medical Fitness Test.

RRB NTPC Selection Process: Medical examination

The selection of candidates is based on their passing the required medical exams. The evolution of candidates depends on their physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Candidates should be aware that RRBs simply recommend the names of impaneled candidates, and the respective RRB makes the appointment.
