The remaining two are about converting decimals into fractions.

You will know the techniques used for comparing two decimals numbers along with the concept of arranging these numbers into ascending or descending order.

To make the comparison between two decimals, you must follow the below mentioned guidelines.

  1. Whichever decimal fraction is having the larger integral part is going to be the greatest of all.
  2. In a particular case, if the two decimal fractions are having a similar integral part, then we will analyze this situation starting from the tenths place,  where whichever decimal fraction has the greater digit in the same place will be considered as greatest among all.
  • Steps To Compare Two Decimals
  1. Get the decimal numbers and compare the whole parts of the decimal numbers. The whole number part having the greater number will be considered as the greater number.
  2. If you encounter a case where the whole number of parts are of the same value, then make the comparison of the last left digits of the decimal parts of 2 numbers to the larger left digit at the end will be larger.
