SBI PO Selection Process 2021 | Prelims, Mains, and Interview

SBI PO Selection Process 2021 will recruit Probationary Officers. These officers are selected at various branches of the State Bank of India across the nation. However, there are three stages in the SBI PO Selection Process 2021.

These three stages of the SBI PO Exam include Prelims, Mains, and group discussion, and personal interview. The selection process is a little long so while appearing for the SBI PO Exam the candidates are required to have patience.   

SBI PO Selection Process 2021: Stages for Exam  

As per the Official Notification, there are three stages in the SBI PO Selection Process 2021. The three stages are:-  

1. The first stage of the SBI PO Selection Process is the Preliminary Examination. It the first and the qualifying stage for the exam.  
2. The second stage is the Main Exam which has one objective test and one descriptive test. In the descriptive test, a letter and an essay have to be written by the test takers.  
3. Now comes the final stage of the exam which is Group Discussion or you can say it as Exercise and Interview round which has a weight-age of 25% of the total marks. 
4. The candidates who Qualifying all the above-mentioned stages they will later call for document verification.  

NOTE: To be able to be in the selection process, you must fulfil the eligibility criteria. 

Steps to fill SBI PO Application Form

SBI PO Selection Process 2021: Selection Procedure  

In this section, the candidates will get information about the detailed SBI PO Selection Process 2021 released by the SBI PO Notification.  

Preliminary Exam:- This exam consists of Objective Tests which are 100 marks. It is conducted in an online manner. The time duration for this exam is 1 hour and it consists of 3 sections.

The candidates who clear this stage only will be selected for the Mains examination.
Mains Exam: this Exam consists of Objective Tests and Descriptive Tests. The exam is 250 marks in total. The objective type test will be of 3 hours and it consists of 4 sections.

The Descriptive Test is of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be of Test of English Language.  

Group Discussion: the aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the objective tests and Descriptive Tests will be arranged in descending order in each category. An adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for GB and Interview.  

The final merit list will be calculated in the following manner:-  

• The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for the selection 
• The marks obtained in the Main Exam (both objective and descriptive) will be added to the marks obtained in GE and Interview.  

SBI PO Selection Process 2021: Important Documents  

The candidates who got selected and completed all three stages need to appear for Document verification. These documents include:-  

1. Printout of the Interview Admit Card.  
2. Proof of Date of Birth  
3. Printout of System generated Online SBI PO Application Form 2021.  
4. Photo Identity Proof accepted by State Bank of India 
5. Mark sheets and certificates of Graduation or equivalent qualification.  
6. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC category candidates issued by competent authority as designated by the Government of India.  
7. The candidates who are falling in the creamy layer of the OBC category are required to fill the form from General Category only.  
8. A disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board in case of a person with a disability must be carried along with the other documents.  
9. Certificate of Experience  

Candidates are advised to take original documents along with the photocopy of the document that is too self-attested.
