As per Nationality, SSC CGL Eligibility Requirements specify an applicant be a citizen of the listed states only. A candidate must comply with all of the mentioned criteria:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to permanently settle in India, or
- a person of Indian origin migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: The official announcement states, ‘An applicant for whom a certification of eligibility is required can be allowed to the assessment, but the appointment proposal will be rendered only after the Government of India has provided the appropriate certificate of eligibility.’
