SSC MTS Recruitment | Eligibility Criteria 2021

Applicants must ensure that they must meet the SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2021 formulated by the commission before continuing with the SSC MTS Application Form. If you are not fulfilling the mentioned criteria, then you are not allowed to fill out the Application Form for SSC MTS 2021. The eligibility requirements are depended on the age limit, nationality, and educational qualification of the applicants.

Nationality

As per Nationality, SSC MTS Recruitment specifies that an applicant to be a citizen of the listed states only. A candidate must comply with all of the mentioned criteria:

(a)    a citizen of India, or

(b)   a subject of Nepal, or

(c)    a subject of Bhutan, or

(d)   a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e)    a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

The age limits for the positions as per the SSC MTS Recruitment rules of different departments are:

  • 18-25 years as on cut-off date (i.e., candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003).
  • 18-27 years as on cut-off date (i.e., candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003).

Note: The Age Criteria will be computed as on 01.01.2021

Educational Criteria

An applicant is required to pass Matriculation or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board or University or Institute.

Note: – Candidates who have not yet acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and produce documentary evidence from the Board in support thereof as of 01-08-2020 are also eligible.

Note: Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number. It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process. Registration number, password, and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID.

4th Step: The website will take you to the link where you have to fill the online application form. Candidates should apply only once for one post. Before proceeding with One-Time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready:

  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP).
  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
  • Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers:

  2. PAN
  3. Passport
  4. Driving License
  5. School/ College ID
  6. Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
  • Information about the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th)
  • Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with benchmark disability.

5th Step: Give your preference for Examination Centers. A candidate may give the option for three centers, in the order of priority, within the same region. If you are seeking age relaxation, select the appropriate age- relaxation category. Indicate your highest educational qualification. Provide information on whether you belong to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). This is applicable for only un-reserved candidates.

6th Step: Candidates should upload the scanned (digital) image of their photograph and signature as per the process to be shared in SSC MTS Recruitment Notification.

  • Photograph: Scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height)
  • Signature: Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB) Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).

7th Step: Candidates are now having to pay the Application Fee as per the category.

Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. The fee structure is varies based on the category of the Applicants as per the new SSC MTS Recruitment Notification.

The Staff Selection Commission publishes SSC MTS Admit Card on the official website 15 days before the scheduled date of the MTS Examination. However, aspiring applicants can expect the release of the SSC MTS Admit Card 2020-2021 in June last week. Check out the steps to download SSC MTS Admit Card:-
