Here gives a glimpse into the rapid progress we have made, in just a few 100 years.

BENARAS The old city of Benaras as it was called before. Today it is called as Varanasi. Varanasi has also been a great center of learning for ages. 

Charminar, Hyderabad  The monument was built in 1591 by Muḥammad Qulī Quṭb Shah, the fifth king of the Quṭb Shāhī dynasty, reportedly as the first building in Hyderabad.

Howrah bridge  You can see the old settlements around the Howrah bridge, KolkataThe bridge is one of four on the Hooghly River and is a famous symbol of Kolkata and West Bengal. 

Hawa Mahal  The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Its unique, five-storey exterior is akin to the honeycomb of a beehive, with its 953 small windows called jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. 

Taj Mahal   The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died on 17 June that year, while giving birth to their 14th child, Gauhara Begum.

Jaipur Amber Fort Amer was known in the medieval period as Dhundar and ruled by the Kachwahas from the 11th century onwards between 1037 and 1727 AD, till the capital was moved from Amer to Jaipur. The history of Amer is indelibly linked to these rulers as they founded their empire at Amer.

The Victoria Memorial The Victoria Memorial, is a building dedicated to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom and Empress of India, and located in Kolkata, India – the capital of West Bengal and a former capital of British India. 

Golden Temple  The Golden Temple is spiritually the most significant shrine in Sikhism. It became a centre of the Singh Sabha Movement between 1883 and 1920s, and the Punjabi Suba movement between 1947 and 1966. 

Town Hall The Town Hall was built in 1813, east of the High Court, by Colonel John Garstin. This view of the main facade shows the classical style and the Doric portico. The Town Hall overlooks Eden Gardens in the Maidan. 

Gateway of India  The Gateway is also the monument from where the last British troops left India in 1948, following Indian independence. It is located on the waterfront at an angle, opposite the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel and overlooks the Arabian Sea. 

 Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus The terminus was designed by a British born architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens from an initial design by Axel Haig, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station.
