West Bengal Police Recruitment 2021 | Admit Card
The West Bengal Police Admit Card 2021 will be released few weeks before the exam on the West Bengal Police Official Website. You have to carry the hall ticket into the examination hall.
West Bengal Police Recruitment 2021 | Selection Process
There are 7 stages of the selection process.
- Preliminary written test: This is a qualifying examination which means the marks are not considered in the final merit list. It is of 100 marks which includes 3 subjects i.e. General awareness and General knowledge, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Only after qualifying the written test you can qualify for PMT. Under this your height and weight will be measured using Electronic Machines.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): After qualifying for the PMT, you are eligible for PET. This test consists of a 1600 meter run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Final Written Exam: This test is of 85 marks which include 4 subjects i.e. General Awareness and General knowledge, Reasoning, English and Elementary Mathematics. The final written exam marks will be taken into consideration to prepare a merit list.
- Interview: Interview round is of 15 marks and those candidates who have qualified for the Final written test only those candidates will be called for this interview round. Public and general awareness will be asked in this round. The marks of this round will also be taken into consideration to prepare a merit list.
- Verification of character antecedents: After clearing the interview round, candidates have to fill the verification of character antecedents which will be further enquired by the authority. They are required to fill up a ‘Verification Roll’ which will be thoroughly enquired into by the authority concerned. The antecedent verification is about confirming, whether the provided details like address, date of birth, etc. actually belong to the candidate or not. The verification of criminal records, if any, is also done under this stage.
- Medical Examination: The selected candidates will be sent to the designated state government hospital for medical examination. Candidates should be in good physical and mental health Candidates have to undergo a few medical tests prescribed by the Department of Health and family welfare.
